Children never seem to tire of playing tea parties and picnics so this idea for a role-play café which mixes fun and learning really caught my eye.
All the required game components are available to download for free so that you can simply print out, cut and stick the sweetly designed game parts (you can also laminate if you feel so inclined to make the game more lasting).
The basic idea for playing the game is to create a café table and ‘customers’. The customers ‘order’ a letter from the A to Z menu. The ‘waiter’ or ‘waitress’ has to then deliver the right food to the customer by matching the food with the correct starting letter.
This is a great game for building confidence with using the alphabet.
